Still didn’t solve all of the vibration, but it’s muuuch better.

Up next... a GMRS radio, replacing the blown headunit, and some speakers.

If the vibration wasn’t the bad tire (or wheel) what the hell else could it be? I'd say transmission but you just rebuilt that. Not sure what else it could be.

I already have a handheld dualbander, but TECHNICALLY, i cannot use it on GMRS bands. And the rest of my offroad crew uses FRS or MURS radios.

A recent mounted, low cost GMRS unit came on the market, figured I would add it.

My next thought is tearing into the rear axle and checking how straight they are, and then popping off the front halfshafts and checking their motion. The inner boots are popped on them anyway...

Fair enough. Frankly I think that certified frs nonsense is garbage...but that’s just me. And that being said I won’t broadcast on frs/gmrs when I get my dual band. I just made all my friends get cb

I’m not really a fan either. They either need to enforce the GMRS license (its like, 50 bucks.) and ban these crappy bubblepacks, or the makers of GMRS radios need to step it up ever so slightly, and build repeater capable radios (and reasonable prices repeaters) for those who get the license.

Or, do what i do. I have an itinerant business frequency license, mobile repeater that fits in an ammo can, built to specification, and 6 radios. P25 with encryption. Totally legal, licensed, and properly managed. I hand them out at events.
